In 1963, the U.S. Supreme court ruled, in Brady vs. Maryland, prosecutors must turn over exculpatory, or favorable evidence to the defense to lessen the instance of faulty convictions. This applies to the history of the arresting officers, especially if that officer has a track record of corruption. Unfortunately, this is not happening and the courts are refusing to abide by the ruling. A month ago was the one year anniversary for the death of the hero Johnny Hurley. Our organization, The Free Thought Project made several posts about it on the anniversary to keep his story alive. They currently provide 24/7 rapid response services to communities in Detroit with approximately 5,000 residential clients and approximately 100 business clients. His program has resulted in a 90% decrease in violent crimes in communities who employ his agency. Dale Brown and TMC have been featured on Viceland and HBO documentaries and have protected celebrities like Sylvester Stallone and Jessie Jackson. Dale and his colleagues at Threat Management Center are proving that these services are better supplied by being voluntarily funded through consensual interactions.
