Karen Read's retrial began Tuesday with opening statements and witness testimony shared in the murder case of Boston police officer John O'Keefe. Prosecutors claimed that after a night of drinking, an emotional Read intentionally hit her boyfriend with her car and left him in the cold to die. Meanwhile, her defense claims that the investigation into O'Keefe's death was 'corrupted,' and that he did not die as a result of a vehicle collision.
John DePetro, host of the John DePetro Show, has been following the case closely. He joins from outside the courthouse to recap the dramatic witness testimonies heard this week.
