In a significant blow to their decades-long quest for freedom, the California parole board denied parole for both Erik and Lyle Menendez. The decisions stemmed from the brutality of the crimes they committed, their behavior in prison, and the risk they still pose to the public. They're eligible to go before the board again in three years.
