Show Notes
Melanie Stapleton is the owner of Cecilia Fox, an award-winning creative floral studio based in Tāmaki Makaurau, Aotearoa (Auckland, New Zealand). Their studio was founded in 2006 on Wurundjeri country in Naarm (Melbourne), Australia, where they have thrived on community and collaboration.
Cecilia Fox is committed to following more sustainable floristry practices. They work with local growers, gardeners and foragers whenever possible, and guide their customers towards what's in season rather than what's on trend. They don't use any floral foam, avoid plastics and all their carefully sourced materials are composted at the end of their lives.
Melanie is an Ambassador of the Sustainability Floristry Network and practices foam free designs. It was great to finally connect with Melanie and hear her journey to sustainability, her experiences starting her business over again, and so much more.
