Show Notes

Good morning! I'm Aaron Jolly. And welcome to the Florida Weather Podcast. It's Wednesday, February 25th. Folks, if you stepped outside this morning and thought.. Wait, did I move to Georgia? You're not alone. Frost is coating lawns across inland Florida right now. Temps in the 30s. Even parts of South Florida dipped into the low 30s overnight. Winter's last little jab before it taps out. And it's tapping out. High pressure slides east today, flipping winds to the south. That's your warm air express. By this afternoon, you're feeling a completely different state. Jacksonville and the Panhandle climb to 70 degrees. Slide down to Tampa Bay, same story. Orlando and Central Florida push to 72. Miami and South Florida settle into the low 70s. Sun on your shoulders, coffee on the porch. That's February done right. Tonight stays comfortable. Inland lows land in the upper 40s to low 50s. Along the coast, mid 50s to low 60s. Thursday cranks the dial higher. Upper 70s to low 80s statewide. South Florida could kiss 80 degrees inland. Now.. Friday's where the plot thickens. A slow moving front rolls in Friday afternoon. Rain chances start modest, then climb sharply Friday night into Saturday. Isolated thunderstorms are possible, especially across North and Central Florida. Rainfall totals look like three quarters of an inch to an inch and a quarter over those two days. With the drought we've been dealing with, your lawn is practically begging for it. Looking past the weekend, that front exits south by Sunday. High pressure builds from the north, bringing easterly winds and scattered coastal showers. Temps hold steady in the upper 70s to low 80s through Tuesday. Partly sunny with a few stray showers hugging the coastline. Typical late February paradise. I'll be tracking that Friday front closely tonight. Come back tomorrow for the full breakdown. That's your forecast — we'll be back tomorrow. Take care!
