Good morning. Maine. I'm DJ Huzz.
If you step outside right now, you're feeling that classic muggy warmth. We're sitting at 63 degrees under overcast skies. It feels like Florida is trying to decide between winter and spring. and spring is winning. We're gaining almost 2 minutes of daylight every day now.
In the next 24 hours. Your Friday. We've a Dense Fog Advisory in effect until 9 A.M. Visibility is dropping to near zero in spots. If you're driving near Lake Okeechobee or down toward Alligator Alley, you'll want to slow down. The fog lifts late this morning.
Then, the heat turns on. South Florida climbs to 79 degrees under mostly sunny skies. It's a beautiful day if you can avoid the spotty weather. Down in Miami, look for a slight chance of thunderstorms after 7 P.M. Temperatures stay warm, dropping only to 71 degrees overnight.
Central Florida is the bullseye today. Highs reach 82 degrees. Showers and thunderstorms are likely this afternoon. The best chance to see rain is during your drive home between 4 and 7 P.M. Tonight, the rain sticks around with lows near 62 degrees.
North Florida sees similar weather. You hit 79 degrees today. Showers are likely between noon and 4 P.M. It cools down more there tonight, with lows around 58 degrees.
Looking ahead to the weekend. Saturday brings more rain. Central Florida sees the highest risk, with heavy showers possible. Sunday dries out nicely. High pressure builds in for next week. Expect sunny skies, highs in the low 80s. and breezy conditions along the coast.
