The question isn't simply about the right age to baptize children; it's deeper than that. The real inquiry is, "What is baptism?" and "When is the appropriate time to baptize anyone?" Churches must thoughtfully reflect on the biblical teachings and implications of baptism. Faithful teaching on this ordinance is especially critical in light of a decades-long decline in doctrinal carefulness. Understanding the biblical essence of conversion, particularly in relation to children and conversion, is essential for faithfully handling the command to baptize new believers.
