The third episode of The Film ’89 Podcast is something of a departure from the regular format of the show as we present the first of our Retrospective episodes where we go in-depth and offer some probing discussion and analysis of a classic film. The first film to be featured in this regular series is John Carpenter’s 1982 sci-fi/horror masterpiece, The Thing. Joining Skye to discuss The Thing is former stage director Matt Jenkins, a lifelong fan of the film, and filmmaker and host of the brilliant Flix Wise Canada Podcast and frequent writing contributor to both Film89.co.uk and guest host on the Wrong Reel Podcast, Martin Kessler.
