Show Notes

00:00-19:10 - The Wake Up Call with Kevin Bowen and Marc Dykton starts on a Thursday talking about Kevin’s knuckles and how many days we have in May. Then, the sports talk begins with a conversation about Colts OTAs and the health of Anthony Richardson, plus Pacers end of season thoughts with the NBA draft a little over a month away. The most riveting topic: can we get Scottie Scheffler’s kid a custom “Daddy is Free” onesie?

19:10-28:17 - Morning Checkdown

28:17-41:47 – KB and Marc break down the post-season exit interview from Bennedict Mathurin and talk about how he has matured since his season ending shoulder surgery in early March. More importantly, is Mathurin the best baker on the Indianapolis sports scene?

41:47-1:12:36 – KB and Marc start the second hour of the show talking about the Colts’ schedule and the surprising health of Anthony Richardson. Then, its a Morning Checkdown.

1:12:36-1:28:25 – Scott Agness from Fieldhouse Files joins The Wake Up Call to break down the Pacers’ offseason plans, starting with the priority of resigning Pascal Siakam. Then, they discuss if and when the Pacers should extend Andrew Nembhard after a great postseason run. What is the update on Bennedict Mathurin a few months after surgery, and what can he do to further improve an impressive Pacers team?

1:28:25-1:57:39 – To start the final hour, Zak Keefer of The Athletic joins KB and Marc to discuss all the action at West 56th Street today and into the Colts offseason, but first they talk about the Indy 500 that Zak covered on Sunday. Which was bigger, the second straight Josef Newgarden win or the second runner-up finish for Pato O’Ward in three years? Then, they debate a potential change with the NFL’s offseason summer camp schedule.

1:57:39-2:08:46 - Pop Quiz!

2:08:46-2:15:56 – KB and Marc close out the show with breaking news, albeit expected, that the Pacers and Pascal Siakam have mutual interest on a max-level extension this summer.
