Kevin & Query - Monday 10/17 - Colts won a division game, Jeff Saturday joins the show, some college football as well!

(00:00 - 19:03) - Kevin and Query open the show discussing the Colts win yesterday against the Jacksonville Jaguars. Both seem to agree that this game was the best one of the season, not just because of the win but because everyone seemed to play how we expected them too for the first time this season. A brief look around the league after Week 6. What is happening to the Green Bay Packers? Do the Philadelphia Eagles come to Lucas Oil undefeated? Frank Reich was showing some life on the sidelines yesterday. Is the NFL still "a passing league?" K&Q react to Tennessee's reaction to their victory over Alabama on Saturday as well.

(24:08 - 37:21) - Kevin and Query close out the hour taking calls from Colts fans who are also excited about the win on Sunday. Calls include excitement around the offense, and some talk about what Colts players are tradeable.  

(37:22 - 1:05:32) - The guys go back and forth on the handful of negatives from Sunday. Especially how Jacksonville was able to still be a threat late in the game. More callers on the Colts win. A lot of talk specifically focussed on receivers
and potentially having more faith in your rookies than your veterans. Matt Ryan really looked like he came through for the first time as a Colt. 

(1:05:33 - 1:20:40) - Calls continue, beginning with some praise for Deon Jackson. Talk about Elhinger's promotion to 2nd string quarterback. How certain free agents have performed for the Colts this season. Discussion on how the concussion
protocol works while you are in a game and then after the game. This effecting Niem Hines during the week and leaving him out on Sunday. Kevin and Query are head to head in fantasy tonight. 

(1:20:41 - 1:24:47) - Matt Ryan was finally given the ability to stand out last week. The O-line may have finally been set, with Dennis Kelly in the lineup. Ryan was sacked 0 times, only 4 hits on the day. Short term coaching may finally be paying off this team in terms of players finally finding their roles.  

(1:24:48 - 1:50:12) - Kevin and Query kick off the final hour by owning up to possibly being wrong about Paris Campbell. More calls beginning with Matt Ryan's performance and if we should start running 3 Tight End red-zone plays. EJ Speed
made some huge plays yesterday. College Football talk about Purdue and IU's performances this past weekend and games coming up. Danny Lopez VP of External Affairs and Corporate Communications from the Pacers calls in with an announcement about the teams opening week! Participating Krogers will be giving out $25,000 in giftcards at 5pm. Information will be spread out on the Pacers app! Lopez also discusses the changes happening to Gainbridge Fieldhouse and progress on the final renovation plans. He leaves off discussing ticket sales and ticket packages and their partnership with Bally Sports Plus. 

(1:50:13 - 2:06:48) - Jeff Saturday joins the program for his weekly talk with Kevin & Query and has big praise following the Colts win this past Sunday. Saturday claims that this is the most comfortable that Matt Ryan has looked all season. He explains why teams may not tap into certain personnel groups over the course of a season. Jeff brakes down what percent offense vs. defense makes a difference when it comes to formations in football. The Colts are still a bit behind in offenseive scheme overall as teams still understand that taking away Jonathan Taylor is essential to stopping the offense. Sunday was the first time we made a defense change their game plan. Saturday stresses that even though they finally got a division win, they still have to continue to step up their game ever week if they want to survive the rest of the season.
