Show Notes

(00:00 - 20:55) - Indianapolis air quality has improved due to last nights storms. Busy day for news in sports, the Colts released Isaiah Rodgers and Rashod Berry yesterday. Jake believes that there are several players who probably have passively and unintentionally violated the NFL's gambling policy. How many players have placed a wager on a baseball game from a team facility thinking it was okay? Bad weather cancelled Marc's Savannah Bananas trip last night. (20:56 - 25:06) - Morning Checkdown

(25:07 - 46:53) - Greg Rakestraw of the ISC Network and Indy Eleven joins the show. He and Jake immediately go back and forth on the news of Isaiah Rodgers suspension. Rakestraw believes that if Rodgers is allowed back in the league in the near future, he stands a chance to sign with a team again. This story is going to keep people's attention for awhile, possibly the next season or two, but players might start making mistakes again because of how available gambling is and how loose the rules are currently. Rakestraw goes over the six rules that the NFL has on gambling currently. Marc gets a quick word on Rakestraw's view of Pacers free agency.

(46:54 - 1:10:00) - The second hour kicks off with Jake's view on how people treat Independence Day. Fireworks are great for 4th of July, but not at 1a.m. Chicago has a street race coming up, but the event isn't bringing a lot of people or business to Chicago. Taylor Swift brought more people to Chicago than the upcoming race will. Callers weigh in on their views of 4th of July, the Chicago Cubs, and Isaiah Rodgers.

(1:10:01 - 1:20:35) - More callers phone into the show. Topics include Veterans and their relationship with fireworks, Isaiah Rodgers suspension, and Colt's season expectations. Jake details the different moralities involved in sports betting as an athlete. This scandal could affect the NFL's future if it is ever revealed that betting on games played a role in anyone's performance during a game.

(1:20:36 - 1:33:07) - A caller verifies that Producer Sam's earlier statement on Oasis's hit song Wonderwall was true. That same called lobby's for Jake's fandom for their high-school basketball team. IndyCar talk about getting them to race again in Loudon. Race talk about how people view Romain Grosjean and Pato O'Ward.

(1:333:08 - 2:00:56) - Joel A Erickson of the IndyStar joins the show to go into deep detail about Isaiah Rodgers year-long suspension from the NFL. Was Erickson surprised when Rashod Berry was released as well? Berry was suspended indefinitely even though he could have only bet one NFL game as a player last year. Erickson notes that betting on any game inside a team facility is earning players a six-game suspension, betting on the NFL is earning the year-long suspension. Erickson thinks that compared across multiple leagues the NFL actually has pretty relaxed gambling restrictions. The NCAA won't allow you to bet on any sport they govern. The Colt's cornerback room is young and inexperienced, they need to sign a veteran to help out the defense.

(2:00:57 - 2:09:15) - Pop Quiz

(2:09:16 - 2:20:56) - Marc's Top Ten European Countries he wants to visit. How could you make the most efficient European trip by train?
