Show Notes

(00:00 - 25:40) - A strong start to the Friday show as Jake starts with a Storm Chasers pun. The Indianapolis Indians home opener, pending weather, is supposed to kick off tonight against the Omaga Storm Chasers. The Milwaukee Bucks demolished the Pacers on Wednesday and then got obliterated by 40 the next day. Wrestlemania is this weekend. Jake recalls passing around bootleg VHS tapes of UFC events. Major League Baseball opening day was yesterday. Chicago Cubs and White Sox are both off to a strong start with wins in their opener. The Cincinnati Reds fell to the Pittsburgh Pirates. Jake promotes the inter-office pick'em league for the MLB this season. Pro-Days continued yesterday, quarterback Anthony Richardson hit a fan on the roof.

(25:41 - 31:26) - Morning Checkdown

(31:27 - 46:04) - What is the weight of an NFL Pro-Day on how a team views a potential draft pick? Will Levis being 23 might give him an edge in terms of development for a team, making him a an appealing pick. The Colts still have been patient for years now with team owner Jim Irsay trusting the general manager Chris Ballard for multiple seasons. The clock is going to start ticking now that the Colts are in yet another quarterback conundrum. Will any of the rookie quarterbacks be able to live up to the pressure that both Irsay and Ballard will be putting on them from the start of the season? Irsay is a catalyst in freeing a whale back into the wild.

(46:05 - 1:13:07) - Greg Rakestraw of the ISC Network joins the program and puts a bow on last weeks IHSAA State Finals in basketball. There are always a handful of college coaches at the finals, but the Ben Davis vs. Kokomo game had a very large presence of recruiters. Rakestraw claims it was the biggest gathering of recruiters he can remember in his time covering the tournament. Talk turns to Rakestraw's predictions for the Final Four in the NCAA Tournament. Moving on to Colts conversation, Dykton wants to know what the grade is for the Colts this offseason. Rakestraw says that the grade will be incomplete until the draft is over. The free agent signings have started to set the table but there will be no telling until the draft is over, and the quarterback situation is resolved. The Indy Eleven home opener is this Saturday. Coming off a draw against Tampa Bay and a 1-0 win in Detroit, the Eleven are off to a hot start against two playoff teams from last season.

(1:13:08 - 1:35:20) - From one guest right into another, Stephen Holder of ESPN.com is on the phone line to talk Colts. Holder is asked to predict the team's first draft pick and he believes that it will be Anthony Richardson joining the team. Indianapolis has spent a lot of time looking at Anthony Richardson, despite Irsay saying he is very high on Will Levis, the team seems to have focussed in more on Richardson's actions since the combine. Holder doesn't believe there is any chance that the Colts will trade up or down in the draft. The opportunity to get one of these quarterbacks is too tempting to risk giving your space up. The otherside of the current quarterback coin is trying to sign Lamar Jackson. Holder believes that is Jackson is open to a conversation then it benefits Jim Irsay and Chris Ballard to have that conversation. Lastly, Stephen Holder is predicting an all Florida NCAA Championship basketball game.

(1:35:21 - 1:54:49) - MLB conversation pick backs up. Jake wants to know Marc's 5 Cubs memories growing up. Jake also gives his baseball memories growing up, from World Series Games he remembers to famous baseball players who stopped by Indianapolis in the minor leagues. He hopes that baseball memories are something that kids are still forming to this day. What are some the most overrated baseball movies? Jake wants to display his hidden talent.

(1:54:50 - 2:03:58) - Pop Quiz

(2:03:59 - 2:23:08) - Jake manages to verbatim repeat the interviews of every coach and player from IU's 1987 championship win to close out the show. Jake compares and contrasts growing up and seeing the IU stadium, team, and fandom compared to Purdue's.
