(00:00 – 23:56) – Stephen Holder of The Athletic joins the show to talk about Blankenship’s departure and how the Colts will proceed from here. He is questioned by Marc on Chris Ballard and Frank Reich’s evaluation process. Holder discusses Adam Vinaterri’s relationship with coaches and fans as a Colts player. Jake wonders why the team did not bring in more competition for Blankenship if they truly were trying to find a new kicker in the offseason. Holder talks about how the stakes are much higher for this team this season even if it is a familiar situation to last season because of the amount of positions on the line.

 

(23:57 – 45:56) – Bob Kravitz comes on the program and give his take on the Blankenship situation. Marc asks if this was a Reich/Ballard call or if Irsay had a say in the decision. Kravitz then begins to break down the individuals performances of players and what it means to the Colts office going forward. Jake wants to know if Kravitz thinks that Ballard is tempted to call Ty Hilton. Kravitz is asked about any positive takeaways he may have seen in Houston. Lastly, any positive views he may have leading into the Week 2 matchup against Jacksonville.
