Google的一位人工智慧工程師發現，當他們訓練大型語言模型時，「人工智慧」居然學會了他們沒有教它的東西。
他們向一個較簡單的語言模型問了一個問題，給了他四張emoji(表情貼圖)讓它猜一部電影。
但語言模型卻完全猜錯了。
最後詢問大型的語言模型相同的問題，居然成功達對了答案：海底總動員。
工程師沒有預想到語言模型可以學習到沒有在訓練資料內的資訊。
這是因為當語言模型的複雜程度越過了某個界限後，便會「湧現」出許多能力。
