Doc welcomes 40 Below Summer vocalist, Max Illidge, to the show and they discuss how the band got their break in New Jersey by getting radio play on WSOU, what influenced the diversity of their sound, how they caught the attention of No Name Management which eventually led to a seven-figure major label record deal with London/Sire, the problems they had with their management team, their label eventually folding and ensuing trouble, how they rebounded on their sophomore album, why the band broke up shortly after, starting fresh with a more metal sounding band, Black Market Hero, 40 Below Summer reforming, and the two chit chat about their beloved NY Knicks.
