Show Notes

One week on from Iceland's decision not to participate in next year's contest, we meet the man who signed off his nation's decision to quit Eurovision in Vienna. Stefán Eiríksson explains the importance of his broadcaster reflecting the mood of Iceland, and why he hopes his country will return to the competition in the coming years.

We also get the chance for our first interview with one the stars of Eurovision 2023 as presenter and singer Julia Sanina joins the podcast.

She tells us more about new music from her band The Hardkiss, and we ask whether she'll ever represent Ukraine at the contest?

You can watch the music video for "Ai Ai Ai" here.
