In Genesis 3:16, God's first words to the woman are linked words of the Bad News / Good News Type. The bad news is in a link down to the man in verse 17. God will give both her and the man "sorrowful-toil" in fieldwork. The Good News is in a link back up to the serpent tempter in verse 15. God will give her conception" of her Offspring who will crush the head of her enemy. All this and more is found in Dr. Joy Fleming's book, "Man and Woman in Biblical Unity."
