The HEAD/BODY METAPHOR in Ephesians 5:15-6:9 is often misunderstood. People mistakenly think and teach something about military hierarchy when this passage is NOT about that! Have you seen the literary patterns that speak to us in Ephesians 5:15-6:9? They prevent us from taking these verses out of context.Paul teaches that believers are to be mutually building up one another. They are to teach and correct one another. "I prayed to receive Christ when I was 11 years old because nobody had explained how before then," Bruce recalls.
