In 1 Timothy 3:1, Paul encouraged men and women to look to Jesus, the Faithful Word (pistos ho logos) to restore them to ministry once again. - "One wife/husband" in the Greek of 3:2 is an idiom meaning "a faithful spouse" whether male or female.
- "If anyone manages his or her own household well" in Greek in 3:5-6 includes both men and women.
