Cosmic Spooks and Lifespan Leaks: Session 230 Briefing

Grab a drink and settle in, because we’re diving into a session that’s equal parts "future-telling" and "identity crisis." This briefing covers Session 230 of The Early Sessions Book 5 of the Seth Material, recorded on the night of February 6, 1966. It was an unscheduled Sunday night hangout that turned into a deep dive into how long everyone’s going to hang around this physical plane.

The Guest List and the Vibe

  • The evening started out chill with friends Bill and Peggy Gallagher.
  • Jane was already riding a high because her ESP book was officially set for a May release.
  • They were playing tapes of Jane in a trance reading "Lepanto," sounding suspiciously like her late friend Father Trainor. You know, just your typical Sunday night entertainment.

The Medical Report (With a Side of Irony)

  • Bill Gallagher was fishing for medical advice on his ulcers. Seth, appearing through Jane, told him he wouldn't need surgery if he kept his vibes right.
  • Funny story: A note added five years later mentions Bill did eventually get the surgery in 1971. Apparently, "present trends" didn't continue, but at least he’s pain-free now!
  • Seth also casually dropped that Bill and Peggy would both live to be about 85. Talk about a long-term plan.

The "67" Scare: Jane’s Subconscious Mix-up

  • Things got a bit "chilling" when Jane predicted her own departure at age 67, mentioning a "breathing difficulty."
  • Seth later cleared the air, explaining that Jane was just distorting the data because she was thinking about her grandfather. He died at 67 from tuberculosis (hence the breathing bit) on a March anniversary that was creeping up on her.
  • The real forecast? Seth corrected the record, stating Jane would actually live into her eighties, just like Rob (who was told he’d hit 87).
  • Seth noted: "Ruburt was upset at this information, and that her relatively early death simply meant she had to work harder in this life."

Past Lives and Future Proof

  • We found out Rob and Jane were "Bostonians" in their past lives. Jane was a medium (living to 82) and Rob was an Episcopalian minister (dying at 63).
  • Seth dropped a massive teaser: This is the last physical life for both of them. No more respawning after this round!
  • The big mission? One of them will die first and send back "conclusive proof" of survival to the other. Seth said this evidence would be so undeniable it would convince the "man in the street," not just the scientists.
  • As Seth put it: "Predictions will work out if no major drastic changes in personality and/or behavior occur."
