Session 226: Time Flips, Cat Lovers, and Corporate Vibes

Welcome to the cosmic lounge. Today, we’re breaking down the highlights from Session 226 of The Early Sessions Book 5 of the Seth Material, recorded on January 24, 1966. All credit for this mind-bending wisdom goes to the Seth Material and the publisher, New Awareness Network. Grab a beverage and get comfortable; things are about to get weird in the best way possible.

The Hypnosis Party (Or, How to Chill with a Cat)

Before the heavy lifting started, Jane (our favorite "exuberant Ruburt") had been practicing hypnosis on their friends Bill and Peggy Gallagher.

  • The Ego Brake: Bill managed to relax his ulcers but couldn't quite get his voice to work. Seth noted that Bill’s ego basically pulled the emergency brake before things got too deep.
  • The Cat Lover: Peggy, who usually treats cats like they’re tiny, furry monsters, actually let the family cat, Willy, chill on her stomach while she was under. She later rationalized it by claiming she thought it was Jane’s hand. Seth, in high good humor, wasn't buying it—he confirmed she was just in a deep, authoritative trance.
  • Seth’s Perspective: Seth admitted he was watching the whole thing through Jane’s eyes, seeing everyone as "individuals" instead of the usual "composite electromagnetic images" he usually deals with.

The Inverted Time System: You’re Not a Prisoner

Seth dropped some serious knowledge about how time actually works (or doesn't). If you think you’re stuck with your past, Seth has some news for you:

  • Past Remixing: You are constantly forming the past just as much as the present and future.
  • Brain Patterns: Seth explains: "The past exists as far as the individual is concerned as a pattern of electromagnetic currents within the brain, and these connections constantly change."
  • Probability Games: Precognition isn't about seeing a "set" future; it’s about seeing probabilities. "Any probability is a reality whether or not it occurs within your own system."

Psychic Hits for "Philip" (John Bradley)

John Bradley, a sales rep for Searle Drug, was in the room, and Seth decided to do a little "long-distance viewing" regarding John’s recent business trip to Cleveland.

  • The 12th Street Connection: Seth called out "12th Street," which John later realized was the location of the Manger Hotel where he’d been hanging out.
  • The Stuffy Room: Seth mentioned a "stuffy place," and John confirmed the Sheraton-Hilton was so poorly ventilated he couldn't even sleep.
  • The "Fat Man" and the Promotion: Seth picked up on a meeting with a "fat man" (Mr. McKeown) and discussions about money and career moves. Seth basically told John to hang tight with Searle Drug—the corporate drama would eventually flip in his favor.

Seth’s Parting Words

Seth’s vibe is always iconic. He ended the night by reminding Ruburt (Jane) not to smoke while delivering the heavy stuff and left with a classic sign-off: "I regret leaving, for you grow on me."
