Underwater Treasure Hunts and Cosmic Buzzing: Seth Session 192
Kick back, grab a cold one, and let’s dive into some spooky-cool history from the beyond. Today we’re looking at a wild, unscheduled meeting known as Session 192 from The Early Sessions, Book 4 of the Seth Material, recorded on the late night of September 25, 1965.
The vibe was peak 1960s—Jane and Rob had been out dancing and met up with their friends, the Gallaghers. By 11:45 PM, as they were all chilling at the apartment, Seth decided to crash the party. Jane felt him "buzzing around," and even though Rob was exhausted from taking notes all week, Seth had some literal "deep" secrets to share about Seneca Lake.
The Lowdown on the Lake Bottom
Bill Gallagher, a big-time skin diver, wanted to know if there were any cool Indian arrowheads at the bottom of the lake. Seth basically said, "Hold my beer," and upped the ante by talking about bronze and gold. Here are the highlights from the session:
- Ancient Artifacts: Seth claimed there are bronze objects in the lake dating back to either the 7th or 17th century. Bill noted that the 7th century would imply Vikings (talk about a plot twist!), while the 17th century points to Jesuit missionaries.
- The "Mack" Connection: Seth gave some oddly specific directions involving a gas station with the letters "M," "A," and "C" (maybe a guy named Mack or Mack trucks) and a female child.
- The Underwater Cave: Seth described a spot 55 feet down with boulders and a cave. Inside, there's a dagger and objects marked with a moon symbol and the number 11.
- The French Gold: This is where it gets cinematic. Seth spoke of a 17th-century gold religious chest from France. It allegedly belonged to a royal family, involves a Pope, and contains a Bible with gold covers.
- The Navigation Manual: Seth even gave Bill driving directions for the lake floor: two turns to the left, a glide with the current, and a right turn of exactly 23 degrees.
- Nature’s Smoke Screen: Seth and Bill geeked out over "silt storms" that act like underwater sandstorms. Seth warned that if you're in the middle of one, you're in trouble, but if you're beneath it, you’re golden.
Seth’s Best One-Liners
Seth was in a pretty considerate mood, even trying to spare Rob the hand cramps from writing everything down. Here’s a bit of the banter:
- On skipping the paperwork: "I’m simply trying to save Joseph work."
- On Bill’s diving instincts: When Bill said he could "smell the trouble" regarding the dangerous currents, Seth quipped, "You have a good nose indeed."
- On the treasure: "The royal family had many offspring, and there is a connection with a pope, and a bible with gold covers, and a crest. It is however sunken in silt, behind a warm current, and very concealed."
The Wrap-Up
After the session ended at 2:35 AM, Bill was floored because Seth accurately described the weird nitrogen-exuding algae and the specific way silt clears up in October—details Jane and Rob definitely didn't know. Jane later joked that a few beers and a witness helped the "telepathy" flow better.
