Cosmic Tea with Seth: Session 176

Before we get into the heavy lifting, a quick shout-out to the Seth Material and the publisher, New Awareness Network. If you want to go deep, check out the books and the bookstore at sethcenter.com/the-early-sessions.

The Life and Times of Dorinella (Aunt Ella)

Seth decided to take a break from discussing "dream reality" to give us the lowdown on Rob’s Aunt Ella, who recently passed at 88. Apparently, her "entity name" is Dorinella, and she’s had four previous lives.

  • Ella wasn’t exactly "all there" in the physical world, but Seth says that was by design. She stayed aloof to cope with the vibes of this reality.
  • Seth dropped a truth bomb about her retarded son, Jay: Ella basically "constructed" him that way to protect him. Seth noted: "She produced in other words an idiot, who was in his own way supremely invulnerable to the realization of misfortune... a child who would remain secure in a relatively eternal childhood."
  • The entity who became her son actually chose those circumstances beforehand. Talk about a specific "pre-birth" plan.

The "Energy Gestalt" of Families

Seth really leaned into the idea that families aren't just a bunch of people living together; they are an Energy Gestalt.

  • The family dynamic was thick with "repressed violence," which Ella reacted against by marrying Wilbur, a gentle man with zero aggressiveness.
  • Ella and Wilbur were like "squirrels" who dug in and hid from the world, sharing a mystical love for nature and animals.
  • Rob’s father, however, was caught in a tug-of-war. He wanted freedom but wasn't willing to pay the price, making him a "great pretender" in his early days.

The Secret Life of Buttons

In one of the most "spookily accurate" moments of the session, Seth brought up Ella's button collection—something Jane couldn't have known about.

  • Ella didn’t just save buttons; she used them as psychic anchors to the past. Seth explained: "To her the buttons almost seemed to have consciousness, and when she was alone she would take out her boxes of buttons and hold some in her hands, and remember the garments to which they belonged..."
  • While the rest of the family saw "squalor," Ella saw a "summer garden" of memories.

Love as a Literal Force Field

Seth gave some stellar advice on protection. It turns out "vibes" aren't just a metaphor.

  • Jane (Ruburt) had some lingering fear about her mother, but Seth cleared that up: "Love is always a protection, in a quite literal manner; in a biological and electromagnetic and chemical and psychic manner."
  • If you don't intend to do harm, you aren't in danger of attracting it. Like attracts like, so keep those frequencies high.

Physical "Glow-Ups" and Psychic Expansion

Rob had been feeling some weird physical sensations, like he was growing or enlarging. Seth explained this as a physical "preview" of a psychic expansion.

  • When your self expands psychically, you can help people without feeling "wounded" by their pain.
  • This development allows the ego to stop worrying about survival. Seth noted: "Until you know that you have nothing to fear, then the fear is a reality and must be treated as such."

Final Thoughts

This session is a beautiful reminder that our "eccentric" relatives might just be playing a much deeper game than we realize. Head over to sethcenter.com/the-early-sessions and grab the books. Knowledge is the ultimate protection!
