We're one month away from week one of the 2023 college football season. It begins with NC State visiting UConn on Thursday, August 31st, followed by North Carolina vs. South Carolina on Saturday, September 2nd, and concludes with Clemson vs. Duke on Labor Day. On The Drive with Tim Donnelly, we break down the week one matchup for our local triangle teams, and how they're tone-setters for the remainder of the season.

The Carolina Panthers officially padded up today during their training camp in Spartanburg, South Carolina. Tim explains this is good for some players, but bad for others, such as quarterback Bryce Young. Tim believes this may only further the narrative of Young being small, but it's an opportunity to showcase his skills besides his size.

Also, a lot of people believe that running back Jonathan Taylor has no leverage right now as far as being traded to another team. Tim tries to make sense of how this situation got to where it is and how Taylor and the Colts can resolve it.
