<p>Midnight marks the start of NHL free agency, where players are free to sign with any team. Regarding the Carolina Hurricanes, Jesper Fast will be returning, and they've extended a qualifying offer to defenseman Dylan Coghlan. We've yet to hear anything regarding the goaltenders. Chris Lea & Dennis Cox discuss the free agency period and what else they expect the Hurricanes to do during the weekend.</p>
<p>Also, throughout the entire NHL, we've seen some big-time players get bought out already. Why does this matter? This changes the landscape of how organizations plan to attack when it comes to acquiring players. </p>
