<p>Mike Elko has signed a contract extension with Duke football through the 2029 season. Elko is coming off a 9-4 overall record in his first season with the Blue Devils and earned ACC Coach of the Year. He earned the Blue Devils a 5-3 record in ACC play, which equaled the second-best turnaround in ACC history and most wins since 2014.</p>
<p>Also, Garner N.C. native and former NC State running back Nyheim Hines is expected to miss the 2023 season after suffering a knee injury in a freak jet ski accident. Hines was stationary and was struck by another individual operating a jet ski. Hines was expected to provide more of a role to the Bills offense this upcoming season.</p>
