<p>Carolina Hurricanes forward Andrei Svechnikov won't play in the season opener for the Carolina Hurricanes as he's not been medically cleared to play in the 2023-2024 season yet after tearing his ACL towards the end of the 2022-2023 NHL Season. </p>
