Leigh Cassell is an educator, adventurer, entrepreneur and partner in learning with teachers, students, businesses and NGOs around the world. Leigh is an Education and Innovation Consultant, Founder and CEO at Digital Human Library, Founder and President at the Digital Human Library Foundation, and Founding Partner of Live Learning Canada. Driven by her passion to inspire in others a love of learning, Leigh’s work in education focuses on building relationships in ways that leverage digital technologies, develop global competencies, design new critical digital literacies, and prepare students and teachers to succeed as next generation learners. Leigh is a dynamic influencer and reflective practitioner, and highly skilled in building networked learning communities in ways that cultivate emotional intelligence and nurture leadership in education. Leigh is an Apple Distinguished Educator, Microsoft Innovative Educator, Google Certified Educator and SMART Certified Interactive Teacher.

Most recently Leigh Cassell and her partner Noa Daniel launched The Mentoree, a collaborative community that promotes professional learning and efficacy through mentorship. Leigh is also thrilled to announce the exciting launch of her new book, Aubrey Bright in Stories That Connect Us that she co-authored with her friend and colleague Jennifer Casa-Todd. Leigh’s book is being published by EduMatch Publishing and will be available this summer.

Leigh graduated from Mount Saint Vincent University (2003), where she completed a two-year B.Ed degree, and received the MSVU Bachelor of Education Award. In 2000 she achieved a B.A. Honours, in English Language and Literature from the University of Western Ontario. She currently lives in Strathroy Ontario with her husband and 2 beautiful children.
