Have you been diagnosed with high cholesterol? If so, you MUST check your thyroid. There is a very strong connection between your thyroid and your cholesterol levels.
Low thyroid DIRECTLY causes high cholesterol and it's the first thing your doctor should check for if your cholesterol is out of balance.
The problem? Most doctors do not do this correctly.
In addition, many thyroid patients are undertreated on thyroid medication which means their cholesterol is high from that issue as well.
