Show Notes
On a night meant for celebration and light, terror erupted at a beach in Sydney, Australia during the first night of the Jewish holiday, Hanukkah. What should have been a safe, public gathering became a scene of chaos and unimaginable loss. Fifteen people were killed, and many more were injured.
Tonight, we hear firsthand from two families who lived through that nightmare. Lissy, a mother who was forced to run for her life while protecting her young daughter, and Rabbi Yosef, whose 14 year old daughter survived the attack while others around her did not.
Through their stories, we confront the human cost of hatred, the trauma of survival, and the resilience it takes to move forward after unspeakable violence. As Hanukkah continues, we reflect on loss, courage, and the enduring search for light in the darkest moments.
