The Israeli military has officially confirmed conducting direct military strikes against targets inside Iran, a dramatic escalation in the long-simmering conflict between the two regional adversaries. The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) announced early Friday that they had "concluded the Israeli response to Iran's attack against Israel," specifying that "targeted and precise strikes on military targets in Iran" were carried out, successfully "thwarting immediate threats to the state of Israel."
