The posters, showing airbrushed white men building a fantasy version of America, are being sold as “patriotism.” But what they really represent is something darker: a digital resurrection of a time when women, Black and brown Americans, and LGBTQ+ people were erased from the picture entirely. This isn’t innovation, it’s restoration. Restoration of a lie. A fantasy of white dominance and conformity disguised as progress.
