Paris-Roubaix 2023. Alison Jackson's Stunning Triumph and Van der Poel's Dramatic Victory
It's a massive episode today covering the greatest one-day race of them all. Mathieu van der Poel secured an impressive solo victory at Paris-Roubaix, adding to his earlier 2023 Milan San Remo triumph. After a series of attacks and a key collision at Carrefour de l'Arbre, van der Poel capitalized on rival Wout van Aert's puncture to gain an advantage and ultimately win the race. Despite the intense competition, van der Poel expressed sympathy for van Aert's misfortune and praised his team's performance, with teammate Jasper Philipsen finishing second. Alison Jackson from EF Education–Tibco–SVB claimed a surprising victory at Paris-Roubaix Femmes as the breakaway group narrowly held off the chasing pack. Despite their lead being cut to just 10 seconds, the seven-strong breakaway reached the Roubaix Velodrome, where Jackson prevailed in a thrilling sprint finish. Katia Ragusa of Liv Racing TeqFind and Marthe Truyen of Fenix-Deceuninck secured second and third place, respectively, in a remarkable and unexpected podium lineup.

Tadej Pogačar continues to redefine what is possible with a stunning victory in Flanders.
What a weekend of racing. Lotte Kopecky went on an 18km attack and destroyed the peloton in the Women's Tour of Flanders. Whilst Tadej Pogačar continued to show a level of brilliance that rivals that of Eddy Merckx. A super-human attack up the Koppenberg sealed the sweetest of victories for the Pog. “It’s a day I’ll never forget,” Pogačar said. “I can say I can retire after today and be proud of my career The Domestiques are proudly supported by Honan Insurance Group and Black Sheep Cycling.

We also review the support act, the Men's race, with an emotional men's winner and more crashes in the men's peloton. And finally, Hollywood claims Simon Clarke is best on podium, whilst proclaiming Froome washed upped / dead. All this, the important parts, to kick off your week. Has the Mens TDU already been won?
Stage 1 of the Tour Down Under was marred in crashes. It also featured a park car in the last few ks. All this, less than 24 hours after the Prologue literally washed away the hopes of many of the top names. Tommo, Tils, and Lee recap the start of the Men’s TDU, and again it’s some more missed opportunities from the biggest race in the Southern Hemisphere. The Domestiques are proudly supported by Honan Insurance Group and Black Sheep Cycling.

The Women's TDU finale leaves us wanting more!
The finale of the Women's Tour Down Under leaves us wanting more. Plus so much more. The Domestiques are proudly supported by Honan Insurance Group and Black Sheep Cycling.

Temperatures expected to exceed 40 degrees as the TDU enters the Final Stage
Matilda, Lee and Tomo discuss the enthralling finish of Stage 3 of the Women's Tour Down Under that finished up the famous Mount Lofty. The Australian's took charge on today's stage. Most of the episode is centred around Tuesday's final stage which climbs the famous Corkscrew climb, where temperatures will exceed 40 degrees on the road. This, and so much more, on today's episode of 'The Domestiques'. The Domestiques are proudly supported by Honan Insurance Group and Black Sheep Cycling.

Missed opportunities for riders and organisers as the TDU gets underway.
The Domestiques are back, and back with a bang. Matilda Raynolds, Mike Tomalaris and Lee "Hollywood" Turner digest the action from Stage 1 of the Women's Tour Down Under from Glenelg to Aldinga, and an incredible showing by some of the future stars of the peloton. It's not all a love fest, however, as the team gets stuck into the organisers and the riders. So much more to start the 2023 calendar year of Professional Cycling. The Domestiques are proudly supported by Honan Insurance Group and Black Sheep Cycling.

The Domestiques LIVE in Paris - The Final Stage of the 2022 Tour de France
Tommo and Hollywood are in Paris for the final stage of the Tour de France. Join us live as we recap all the days action, plus revisit the best moments from the last 3 weeks.

Tour de France Stage 18 - The Vingegaard and Pog Show reaches Hautacam & Anya Louw reaches the inaugural Tour de Femmes
Stage 18 was the exclamation point on one of the most exciting Tour de France’s this century. Jonas Vingegaard all but extinguished Tadej Pogacar’s hopes of victory in Paris. Vingegaard broke away half-way up the Hautacam to claim his second mountaintop stage win, with the Pog a further minute down. And so we head into the penultimate stage, the final TT, and then onto Paris. Which is the perfect transition to perhaps the biggest story in Pro Cycling at the moment, the Grand Départ of the Tour de Femmes this weekend. We are joined by a rider taking part in the very first Tour de Femme, and one of Australia’s top cyclists, Anya Louw. Previously of ARA Pro Racing Sunshine Coast, Anya has followed in the footsteps of her partner, Alex Bogna, is blazing into world cycling in 2022. Anya has just been signed by AG Insurance - NXTG, and will be a vital part of the teams ambitions to secure stage victories and the White Jersey in Paris. We discuss the Tour, the developments in female cycling recently, and how there is so much more to be done. Join us - we are proud of this one.

Tour de France Stage 16 with 2022 TDU winner Jimmy Whelan
We are deep into the final week of the 2022 Tour de France, and we are well and truly on our way to the Pyrenees. Stage 16 saw Canadian stallwart Hugo Houle win in an emotional victory, with little change in the General Classification. So, we took the opportunity to spend almost the full episode with Jimmy Whelan, former EF Racing member and winner of the 2022 Santos Festival of Cycling and second place at 2022 Australian Road Nationals. Jimmy had a nightmare 2021, in a story that would test the most devoted of athletes. From crashes to broken promises, and everything in between. Jimmy hasn’t given up, nor has anyone that knows him. His story is one that needs to be heard, and we are proud to tell it. As always, please Like, Subscribe, Comment, and Share. We want to hear from you.

Michael ‘Bling’ Matthews joins us live to talk through his Stage 14 win of the Tour de France!
Aussie Michael ‘Bling’ Matthews takes us inside the peloton for this very special episode. Winner of Stage 14, ‘Bling’ takes us into those final few kms, Le Tour so far, what’s to come, his hopes for Wollongong Worlds, his friendship with tadej pogačar, importance of family, being slightly misunderstood, and are the ASO testing for CoVid with head pats? This is an incredibly honest chat with Australia’s hottest cycling export, like, subscribe and share with your mates. A massive thank you to Bling for his time after the hottest stage so far.

TDF State 13 - Mads Pedersen wins in Saint-Étienne and we interview Pat Jonker (ex-US Postal) on what it was like to ride with Lance!
Another jam-packed episode today. The Domestiques wrap up today’s stage into Saint-Étienne, as Mads Pedersen grabs the honours, adding another feather to his illustrious palmarès. Caleb Ewan hits the deck again, and the battle between the Pog and Vingegaard simmers before we hit the Pyrenees. The team also welcomes special guest, Patrick Jonker, ex-US Postal (Lance Artmstrong era), ONCE, and Rabobank. Pat has one of the most illustrations careers of any Australian Professional Cyclists, and he details what it was like to ride during the dark ages of the late 90s, early noughties. Oh - and we found Hollywood. He’s alive, and looking as beautiful as ever. That - and so much more - on today’s episode. Tour de France Stage 11 - Pogacar cracks & special guest Neve Bradbury of Canyon-SRAM talks 10th at the Giro Donne and the path to the pro women’s tour
On this new episode of The Domestiques It’s Bastille Day, July 14th and Lee ‘Hollywood’ has gone missing, undoubtedly off partying somewhere with his shirt off. Mike and Matilda pedal full steam ahead into all the action laid down on the 9% Col du Granon finish of the Tour de France’s Stage 11. Pogacar cracks on the way up and Matilda reminds us that stage winner (SPOILER ALERT) Vingegaard was her pick for the tour. 18,000m of climbing has already been done but there’s still a long way with 27,000m to come. Speaking of climbing, today’s guest Neve Bradbury is a lady quickly ascending the ranking of the women’s pro circuit. Neve, who currently rides for UCI Women's WorldTeam Canyon–SRAM was the highest ranked Australian at the recent Giro Donne coming in at an impressive 10th. Neve talks to our hosts about the Donne, her meteroic career thus far from winning the 2020 Zwift Academy at just 18 and her words of wisdom for those Aussie riders wanting to follow in her footsteps to the pro tour. Tour de France Rest Day Wrap Up & Bikestyle Tours’ Adam Gill talks chasing the tour plus hubbard spectators
It’s another rest day on the Tour de France today and the question on everyone’s lips is who will make it through the PCR tests? On this episode hosts Mike, Matilda and Lee talk about their predictions for the climbs ahead and sit down with Bikestyle Tours’ Adam Gill who has been running cycling holidays following races like the Tour de France for over 25 years. Though of course not the last few during Covid. The team touch on the effects of Covid on this year’s tour, what it’s like being where the action is, rider hazards in form of spectators and even the up coming Tour Down Under. TdF Stage 8 & Simon Clarke's mentor Dave Sanders offers insight into historic Stage 5 win
What better way to delve into Australian Simon Clarke’s (Israel Premier Tech) breakaway Stage 5 win than with his former coach and mentor Dave Sanders. Sanders has coached and mentored some of Australia’s finest road cyclists including Cadel Evans and Simon Gerrans and was the head coach at the Victorian Institute of Sport for more than 20 years. Sanders talks to our hosts Mike, Matilda and Lee (who somehow lost his shirt for this episode) about Simon’s journey to his historic win, the tactics discussed between the two beforehand “safest place is up the road,”, and how Simon was feeling post-win on one of the most unforgiving cobbled stages of the tour. Of course, the trio kicks off the episode with an analysis of the last couple of days of racing, and their predictions for how the teams must work together in the stages ahead if anyone is to have a shot at reigning back the almighty Tadej Pogačar - can he be caught or is it too late already?

TdF Stage 5, A Flying Belgian & Special Guest, Veteran Tour Photographer Beardy McBeard
Black Sheep Cycling presents The Domestiques. The first stage of the tour returns to the motherland and already it's all off to a flying start - or so it looked with the man in yellow flapping his wings over the finish line. The 171.5km coastal action between Dunkerque and Calais of Stage 4 sent a bolt of excitement through our hosts Mike, Lee and Matilda for what's to come on this tour. ‘Champagne cycling,’ as Lee called it-looking like he’d had a few himself. The team calls up veteran tour photographer Beardy McBeard to talk through the majesty of chasing the action each day, the logistics of racing around the course ahead of the peloton and one of his worst days on the tour. For all the aspiring photographers out there or anyone who’s ever wondered what the rivalry of the media scrum is like, this is the juicy episode for you. That, and so much more to devour on this episode of ‘The Domestiques’. Bon Appétit. TDF Prologue and Stage 2 with Gabriel Gaté

Second on the line was Wout van Aert, who took the yellow jersey for the first time in his career. ‘The Domestiques’ also welcomed Gabriel Gaté to the show. For our International listeners, Gabriel has been a feature on Tour de France broadcasts in Australia for decades.
