Being “born” in such a place, in the crossroads of trade, our recipe for “Soutzoukakia Smyrneika” or Izmir kofte encompasses spices valuable for trade and meat and ideas from East and West. And thus making a syncretic dish, delicious, luxurious and celebratory.
