Dean and Loch are down to chat about Dean's former employer's documentary about the history of CFNY (102.1 The Edge) in Toronto. The radio station experienced the height of its success from 2000-2015. Dean had the longest-serving and most successful show in CFNY's history and JUST found out about the documentary, which is done.
Lochlin wants to know if Dean gives a shit, and surprisingly, he doesn't. He explains why, offers people some backstory into the natural history of CFNY, and wonders if they cover all the stuff Live Earl Jive did with "interns" in the 70s and 80s.
Dean goes into a long lesson on concentrating on what we control and what we don't, and it's a lesson everyone should listen to. It might save another convoy or keep certain people away from trans kids' book readings.
Some Edmontonians could have used Dean's advice yesterday. They mocked and mobbed Justin Trudeau, who was in Alberta, to help build emergency housing for a province that hates its people.
Trudeau also started an A & W boycott after Pierre Poilievere fans decided to boycott the delicious burger joint after Trudeau was seen buying A & W for his family.
Lochlin worries about Adam Lulu, the spokesperson for A & W's job. Way to go, Trudeau.
