Football’s New Evolution: Why Star Centers & TEs Rule the Modern Game
Former NFL Lineman Geoff Schwartz joins the show to tell the story of how his wedding day landed on the same day as legal tampering. How he was with his groomsmen, readying to walk the aisle while making the decision to join the NY Giants. Then Geoff gives his thoughts on why having a star center and star tight end is the latest chapter in the continuing evolution of professional football. He says it's in response to the plethora of incredible pass rushers. He adds that all the talk about how hard it is on the players to move is ridiculous. You're rich. You're fine. Then Director Bryan Bishop stops by to chat the Academy Awards. His documentary, Growth, is a must watch. He says One Battle After Another is a lock, and thinks that the drop off of Hamnet is for the best. As Vince Lombardi once said, "It ain't bragging if you done it." Dave Dameshek and the gang did just that on this episode of Football America! (NOTE: This episode was recorded before the Kyler Murray trade to the Vikings.) South Beach Sessions - Governor Wes Moore
"I am my ancestors' wildest dream." Governor Wes Moore wants to fight for the future of this country because he is the product of generational sacrifices made in pursuit of the American dream. The 63rd Governor of Maryland sits down with Dan Le Batard for a deeply personal conversation about the moments that shaped his life and leadership. After losing his father at just three years old and growing up under the watch of a fiercely determined single mother, he struggled to find direction—until military school changed everything. He reflects on witnessing war up close and why it left him deeply skeptical of it, while leading the country to do far more for the soldiers and families who carry its scars. He also recounts the moment he was disinvited by President Trump from the National Governors Association Dinner at the White House—and weighs in on the question many have asked: is Trump a racist? The NFL Trade Bonanza (feat. Carmen Vitali and JD Bunkis)
Dave Dameshek opens the show by answering the question: which QB draft class is the best in the history of people. Then Carmen Vitali and JD Bunkis join the show to talk about all the latest moves of the 2026 NFL trade. They get past the headlines and into why these teams make the decisions they do. Would Canada have won if they put Sidney Crosby on the ice? The answer touches on the racial makeup of Canada and why French Canadians aren't pulling their weight in the goal. Yes, we go there. South Beach Sessions - Tig Notaro
Tig Notaro had the worst month of her life. Then, she had her big break because of it. Tig has always been a wild child, from growing up with a free spirit of a mother, to repeating eighth grade (twice) before dropping out of school entirely, to performing half her stand-up set with her shirt off after having a double mastectomy. With Dan Le Batard, Tig explores where her own “go to hell” energy comes from. Tig also speaks about being an Oscar-nominated producer for her work on “Come See Me In The Good Light,” a documentary following the death of her friend and poet, Andrea Gibson. She also looks at why, despite being a ridiculously funny comedian, some of her greatest successes also deal with deep grief.
