The heat will steadily creep up over the next few days with highs peaking around 105 Wednesday and Thursday. Temperatures are expected to fall back to about 103 on Friday. Heat indexes, or “feels-like” temperatures, will peak around 108. No rain is expected, but there may be low chances by the coming weekend. An air quality alert has been issued for the D-FW area for Monday, and is expected to be extended into Tuesday and Wednesday. Tropical Storm Debby, which hit Florida as a hurricane this morning, is not expected to affect Dallas. Also, seven people are facing charges after Grapevine police said they conspired to steal over 200 vehicles in the North Texas area worth more than $9.3 million. And First Baptist Dallas held its first service in worship center since fire in historic sanctuary
