As part of the language series, all week we are talking about the Five Love Languages by author, Gary Chapman. The emotional need for love is desired by all humans. Gary calls it the Emotional Love Bank. He references, Dr. Dorothy Tennor, who states the average life span of a romantic obsession is two years. The “in-love” experience doesn’t focus on internal growth or the growth of others. It gives us the sense that we have arrived. Real love takes effort, “in-love” requires no effort.
The third and fourth love languages referenced in the book are RECEIVING GIFTS & ACTS OF SERVICE.
