How GOP Lawmakers Plan to Strip Government of All DEI Programs
<p>A group of Republican lawmakers is working to strip all <a href="https://www.dailysignal.com/tag/DEI" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">DEI programs</a> out of the government through legislation they call the Dismantle DEI Act.&nbsp;</p><br><p>“This bill goes through the federal government and works to remove the officers, the programs” centered on DEI, or diversity, equity, and inclusion, <a href="https://www.dailysignal.com/author/michael-cloud/" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">Rep. Michael Cloud</a>, R-Texas, says.&nbsp;</p><br><p>Cloud and <a href="https://www.dailysignal.com/tag/jd-vance" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">Sen. JD Vance</a>, R-Ohio, along with 20 other members of Congress, introduced the Dismantle DEI Act to end the use of taxpayer money to fund programs that Cloud says are discriminatory in nature.&nbsp;</p><p>DEI programs “make race the very first lens in which you interpret everything,” Cloud said, adding that millions in <a href="https://www.dailysignal.com/tag/taxpayer-dollars" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">taxpayer dollars</a> are being spent on something that “produces no value for anyone.”&nbsp;</p><br><p>Cloud joins “<a href="https://www.dailysignal.com/podcasts" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">The Daily Signal Podcast</a>” to explain how the <a href="https://cloud.house.gov/posts/release-rep-cloud-and-sen-vance-introduce-legislation-to-eliminate-all-dei-programs-from-the-federal-government" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">Dismantle DEI Act</a> would work if passed and enacted.
