עִנְיַן הַהַשְׁגָּחָה פְּרָטִית הוּא
The concept of hashgachah peratis means
דְּלֹא זוּ בִּלְבַד דְּכָל פְּרָטֵי תְּנוּעוֹת הַנִּבְרָאִים לְמִינֵיהֶם
not only that every particular movement of the various created beings
הֵם בְּהַשְׁגָּחָה פְּרָטִית
is controlled by Divine Providence,
וְהִיא הִיא חַיּוּת הַנִּבְרָא וְקִיּוּמוֹ
which also determines the vitality and ongoing existence of that created being;
אֶלָּא עוֹד זֹאת
it also means
דִּתְנוּעָה פְּרָטִית שֶׁל נִבְרָא
that each particular movement of every being
יֵשׁ לָהּ יַחַס כְּלָלִי לִכְלָלוּת כַּוָּנַת הַבְּרִיאָה
is directly related to the overall intent underlying the creation….
דִּבְצֵרוּף וְאִחוּד כָּל הַפְּעוּלוֹת הַפְּרָטִיוֹת
For through the combination and synthesis of all the particular activities…,
נִשְׁלְמָה כַּוָּנָה הָעֶלְיוֹנָה בְּסוֹד הַבְּרִיאָה כּוּלָהּ
the sublime mystical intent underlying all of creation is consummated.
וְיִתְבּוֹנֵן הָאָדָם
A person should consider:
וּמַה אִם תְּנוּעַת עֵשֶׂב בָּאָה בְּהַשְׁגָּחָה פְּרָטִית
If the movement of a blade of grass is prompted by Divine Providence
וְנוֹגַעַת לְהַשְׁלָמַת כַּוָּנַת הַבְּרִיאָה
and has a role to play in fulfilling the intent of creation,
מִין הַמְּדַבֵּר בִּכְלָל
with regard to the human species in general,
וְיִשְׂרָאֵל עַם קְרוֹבוֹ בִּפְרָט
and to the Jewish people, the nation close to Him, in particular,
עַל אַחַת כַּמָּה וְכַמָּה
how much more so.
