הַכְרָזַת אַאַמוּ"ר בְּאַחַת הַהִתְוַעֲדוּת
My revered father, the Rebbe [Rashab], once declared at a farbrengen:
אָט אַזוֹי וִוי הַנָחַת תְּפִילִּין בְּכָל יוֹם אִיז אַ מִצְוָה דְאוֹרַיְיתָא אוֹיף יעֶדעֶן אִידעֶן
“Just as putting on tefillin every day is a Scriptural commandment incumbent on every Jew,
אָהן אַ חִלּוּק צִי אַ גָּדוֹל בַּתּוֹרָה, צִי אַ אִישׁ פָּשׁוּט
regardless of whether he is a great Torah scholar or a simple person,
אַזוֹי אִיז אַ חוֹב גָּמוּר אוֹיף יעֶדעֶן אִידעֶן
so too, it is an absolute obligation for every Jew
צוּ טראַכטעֶן יעֶדעֶן טאָג אַ האַלבּעֶ שָׁעָה וועֶגן דעֶם חִנּוּךְ פוּן קִינדעֶר
to dedicate half an hour every day to thinking about his children’s education,
אוּן טאָן אַלץ וואָס עֶס אִיז בְּכוֹחוֹ צוּ טאָן אוּן יֶתֶר מִכְּפִי כֹחוֹ
and to do everything in his power — and indeed, more than what is in his power —
זעֶהן פּוֹעֵל זַיין בַּיי דִי קִינדעֶר, אַז זֵיי זאָלעֶן געֶהן אִין דעֶם דֶּרֶך וואָס מעֶן אִיז זֵיי מַדְרִיךְ
to see to it that they follow the path in which they are being guided.”
