Marc Bergevin returns, Evander Kane stirs rumor mill, and the NHL is in hot water again

Though Bergevin may be respected around the league, his legacy is a complicated one. Next, Evander Kane’s contract was terminated by the San Jose Sharks, making him the hottest free agent on the market. The Edmonton Oilers seem to be frontrunners for Kane, who has a complicated history of his own, as Connor McDavid’s lack of a spine has agitated hockey fans. Plus, the NHL is in hot water once more after another Rick Westhead bombshell. Two NHL off-ice officials have alleged they were fired for being whistleblowers after reporting a colleague for using racist language while working for the league.
