First, the Los Angeles Kings have put themselves in an advantageous position in the Pacific Division to make some noise in the playoffs. Sarah breaks down just why the Kings have been so good this year, from Jonathan Quick in net to new fan-favorite Phillip Danault, and discusses how far Los Angeles can go. Next, Alex Ovechkin spoke to the media about Russia’s invasion of Ukraine. Though it was not the answer many were hoping for, hockey journalists were in the right to ask Ovechkin, given his relationship to Vladimir Putin. Not only that, the International Ice Hockey Federation has banned Russia and Belarus from events and has stripped the 2023 World Juniors from the country as well.
