The Context of White Supremacy welcomes Guy Lancaster. Editor of the online Encyclopedia of Arkansas, Lancaster is a White Man and freelance writer for the Arkansas Times magazine. He's also published monographs on the 1919 racial cleansing in Elaine, Arkansas. We'll discuss his 2021 publication, American Atrocity: The Types of Violence in Lynching. Lancaster analyzes White Terrorism in Arkansas specifically and specifies how lynchings and White Mob Violence was the product of the entire White collective. We'll relate Lancaster's work to the current White Terrorism from Jan. 6th, as well as the ongoing savagery targeting school officials and flight attendants.
