Show Notes

Dr. Marva Robinson returns to The Context of White Supremacy. She's the president of the St. Louis Association of Black Psychologists and has been counseling black Ferguson residents since the police killing of Michael Brown Jr. When she visited us in December, she explained that an important aspect of the healing involved confronting the reality of Racism/White Power. We look forward to hearing an update on the mental health of black St. Louis residents. We're curious to see how the lack of indictments and subsequent shootings of Black people have impacted the Ferguson area. Some of our listeners began administering healing circles after Dr. Robinson's previous visit. Perhaps they can give us a word as well. We'll also hear from former South Carolina NAACP president Melvin Poole. We'll discuss the Charleston, SC shooting and coordinated White response.
