The Context of White Supremacy (C.O.W.S.) welcomes Dotsie Bausch. A silver medal-winner from the 2012 Olympics in London, Bausch was a part of the inaugural team pursuit competition and became the oldest athlete in history in her cycling division. After retiring from a championship athletic career, Bausch became a dedicated advocate for plant-based eating. Her life and times are documented in the Netflix documentary "Personal Gold." Bausch is also in the popular flick Game Changers, where a number of professional athletes demonstrate how a plant based diet boosted their physical abilities. Bausch shares candidly about her previous troubles with eating disorders and substance abuse and how correct eating helped her become a better athlete and resist unhealthy addictions. We'll discuss the importance of plant-based eating in the context of the covid-19 pandemic. For nearly a full calendar year, medical professionals around the world have emphasized the added risk of being overweight. Although, Dotsie Bausch is a blond White Women, she acknowledges how White Supremacy prohibits black people from eating well - much less biking fast. In particular, many black people struggle with lactose intolerance, so being encouraged to consume dairy products would be especially detrimental to us. #PlantBasedEatingCountersRacism INVEST in The COWS – http://paypal.me/TheCOWS Cash App: https://cash.app/$TheCOWS CALL IN NUMBER: 720.716.7300 CODE: 564943#
