Show Notes

Rosa Clemente, black Puerto Rican community organizer, journalist, and former Green Party vice presidential candidate, spoke at the Martin Luther King Jr. Day celebration at University of Puget Sound. She discussed the protests around Eric Garner and Michael Brown, Jr. in the context of Dr. King's fight against White Supremacy. She accurately described the Je Suis Charlie march in France as a "White Power" solidification. Gus was itching to ask if poor, marginalized Whites will stop practicing White Supremacy, but they didn't allow for questions.
