Cochran Jr. was a central figure to that case and he'll be front and center in this investigation as well. In fact, the Los Angeles Police Department and district attorney's office will also be familiar characters. Pratt was a Vietnam veteran who returned to join The Black Panther Party. He became a vital member of his California chapter which made him a priority target for the FBI's COINTELPRO program.
