Coffee Time: Learn more about the Lander Wreaths Across America ceremony from one of the organizers

(Lander, WY) – The KOVE 1330 AM / 107.7 FM Today in the 10 interview series Coffee Time continued today with host Vince Tropea, who recently spoke with Margie Rowel, one of the organizers for this year’s Wreaths Across America Lander ceremony. Check out the full Coffee Time interview with Rowel as well as the most recent press release below for even more information about the event! “We are thrilled to include Brigadier General E. Steven Alkire in the Wreaths Across America ceremony on December 16 at Lander’s Mount Hope Cemetery. It is an incredible honor that General Alkire has chosen to attend our ceremony,” explained Ella Riggs. Directly following the ceremony, volunteers will spread throughout the cemetery and place a wreath on the headstones of all our heroes. This simple act of reverence ensures that those who protected our freedoms are remembered. Lander’s Wreaths Across America is a home-grown tradition started in 2018 by Lander Valley High School graduate Taylor Romans. “Taylor’s hard work inspired us to keep this tradition alive. Every year we have more volunteers, wreath sponsors, and community interest,” explained Tara Berg. “It’s becoming a well-loved tradition.” Joining us in our ceremony this year will be Brigadier General Alkire, Assistant to The Adjutant General of the Wyoming National Guard, the American Legion Post 33 Honor Guard and members of the Wind River Composite Civil Air Patrol. Having served for 37 years and currently serving on the governor-appointed Wyoming Veterans Commission and as the Adjutant for Don Stough Post 33, Ken Persson explains the uniqueness of this ceremony, “We spend a lot of time appreciating our veterans while they are serving and active in our communities. But this is a different way of honoring and remembering our veterans. Just like on Veterans Day, Lander is joined in the nationwide wave of commemoration that begins in Arlington Cemetery and runs across our country in over 4,000 communities.” As Margie Rowel explains, “Veterans are the heart of our country. The sacrifices they and their families make cannot be measured. Wreaths Across America is one way that we can take time to appreciate these heroes and their sacrifices. I am honored to build upon Taylor’s work.” In 1992 Wreaths Across America began as a simple gesture of gratitude when a Maine wreath company found a way to deliver extra inventory to Arlington National Cemetery and a cadre of Maine military families placed the wreaths. The mission is simple: Remember our fallen U.S. veterans. Honor those who serve. Teach your children the value of freedom. To honor our veterans, please attend the ceremony on December 16 at 10 a.m. and lay wreaths. Also, consider sponsoring wreaths. One wreath is $17; four wreaths are $60; ten wreaths are $150. Sponsoring a wreath is easy: Go to www.WreathsAcrossAmerica.org Choose: Sponsor a Specific Cemetery Type: WYMHCL Choose: Mount Hope Cemetery Lander, WYOr, make a check payable to Wreaths of America and mail the check to Tara Berg at 6763Highway 789, Lander, WY 820520. Arizona Bowl Executive Director: “We have plenty of beer for Wyoming fans!” [LISTEN]

(Wyoming) – Wyoming Cowboys football fans are known for a few things; passion for all things brown and gold, traveling well to warm-weather bowl games and… beer consumption. In 2004, Wyoming was invited to the Las Vegas Bowl, shocking UCLA with a 24-21 upset win. Sam Boyd Stadium concession workers were also shocked, when the stadium ran out of beer. Thanks to Wyoming fans largely, all of the stadium’s beer was consumed. In 2019, Pokes fans were invited to Tucson’s Arizona Bowl for the first time. Bowl staff members joked a number of times at the pre-game pep rally that they were prepared with, “lots and lots of beer” for the UW fan base. Unsurprisingly, the game reported their all-time highest selling beer effort. Kym Adair is the Executive Director of the Arizona Bowl. She joined the County 10 Sports Podcast this week to chat about having Wyoming back, their affiliation with Barstool Sports and…. you guessed it, BEER! The Even family: The heart of the hunt

(Dubois, WY)- This is a heartfelt County 10 podcast that gives us a glimpse of the remarkable Even family. Recorded in the picturesque town of Dubois, Wyoming, this episode takes you on a journey through the trials and triumphs of a family deeply connected. This podcast was recorded as Adlyn prepares for her late season Mule Deer hunt thanks to the Muley Fanatic Foundation. While we’ve previously explored Adlyn Even’s inspiring journey on County 10, this episode shifts the focus to the heart of it all—the Even family. Adlyn’s story is one of incredible resilience and determination, and through this podcast, we get a glimpse into the vital role of family and community. Meet the Even Family: A stoic and kind-hearted woman, Adlyn’s mother, Anne, serves as a beacon of strength, radiating kindness. Her emotions and compassion shine brightly in this podcast. I believe that when parents face such challenging situations, we may sometimes underestimate the profound impact it has on them. The Even family is incredibly resilient, facing what they have, and Anne’s connection to the community and her ability to cherish the small, often overlooked moments is truly touching. Zach, Adlyn’s father, is a multifaceted individual – a dedicated hunter, educator, and an all-around pleasant person. His passion for hunting and the outdoors can be seen in his children. Zach generously shares his outdoor experiences and underscores the significance of preserving these traditions for the next generation, a commitment he upholds through his work with LVHS. Adlyn’s twin brother, Brooks, shares her passion for sports and hunting. While he may be reserved, he is an exceptionally kind and considerate brother. Their shared love for outdoor adventures serves to deepen their connection, and witnessing their presence together in the great outdoors is a remarkable experience. One of the most heartwarming aspects of the Even family’s story is the incredible support they have received from their community. This podcast underscores the power of community, showcasing how neighbors, friends, and well-wishers have rallied behind the family in their times of need. Don’t forget to share this with your friends and family! While our spotlight shines on Adlyn, her family’s stories and experiences deliver a poignant reminder of the unbreakable ties that bind families and the heartwarming embrace of a tight-knit community. This isn’t just a podcast about hunting and the great outdoors; it’s a living testament to the enduring strength of love and support, even when faced with life’s most formidable challenges.
