(Riverton,WY) -In this episode of the County 10 Podcast, we sit down with Megan Mosbrucker, principal of St. Margaret’s School, along with Lindsey Anderson, a St. Margaret’s parent, to talk about the upcoming “Cruising the Night Away” Dinner Dance happening March 7th, as well as a more in-depth look at the school itself. This themed evening for the dinner dance is more than just a date night… it’s a community-powered fundraiser that supports the students and helps keep special programming, experiences, and opportunities strong. Megan and Lindsey share what attendees can expect, including dinner, auctions, games, and a dance, plus the kind of warm, small-town energy that makes these nights so memorable. The conversation also dives into what makes St. Margaret’s unique: a small, faith-based environment, a strong focus on leadership and service, and a school culture built on a true partnership with parents. From Catholic Schools Week celebrations to service projects and student involvement, you’ll hear how this school keeps kids engaged, supported, and encouraged to grow into the kind of leaders our communities need. You’ll also get a peek at other St. Margaret’s happenings throughout the year, including community events like bingo nights and paint parties — and why local support matters so much for fundraising efforts that directly benefit students. Whether you have a connection to the school or just love supporting great things happening in our community, this episode is a good reminder of what can happen when a town shows up for its kids.

Keegan Thacker previews the Dec. 11 “Grooves Below Zero” fundraiser for Sound Lab at Shoshoni school
(Shoshoni, WY)- In this episode of the County 10 Podcast, we sit down with Shoshoni alum and songwriter/producer Keegan Thacker, who shares a passion-driven conversation about music, creativity, education, and giving back to the next generation. In this episode we find out about a fun event happening December 11th. The heart of this conversation is Sound Lab, a hands-on music program that Keegan co-created within Shoshoni schools. The goal is simple but transformative:to give students access to musical exploration…whether through instruments, composing, performing, or producing. They also aim to provide a creative outlet many rural students don’t often get. On December 11th, the Sound Lab program will host a special concert featuring professional musicians as well as student performers who have been developing their skills through the program. This event serves not only as a community celebration of young talent, but also as a fundraiser to help expand the program by purchasing instruments, equipment, and materials. Another special part of this event is the partnership with the Shoshoni High School Boys Wrestling Team, who will be preparing the dinner served at the concert. A portion of the evening’s admission proceeds will also go toward supporting the wrestling team! Details in the poster below. h/t Keegan Thacker

A Very Groovy Christmas Carol: CWC Theater Brings Retro Cheer to Riverton
In this episode of the County 10 Podcast, we find ourselves right inside the Robert APEC Art Center during rehearsal — surrounded by laughter, sequins, flared pants, and pure theater magic. This year’s holiday performance is A Very Groovy Christmas Carol, and guiding the sleigh as director is Kadie Crook, stepping into her very first leadership role at the helm of a show. Her enthusiasm is palpable — she calls this an unforgettable debut, made even more meaningful by the musical depth of the production and the supportive cast around her.One of those performers is narrator Jack Schmidt, an experienced voice anchoring the story with clarity and charm. Alongside him are fresh cast members who bring a vibrant, youthful energy and share how much fun it has been to dive into a 70s-style twist on Dickens. Of course, returning favorite Matt Hartman — a familiar voice on the County 10 Podcast — gives listeners a peek behind the curtain. He walks us backstage to explore the show’s visually striking aesthetic. Another delightful spin? Scrooge is played by a woman— bringing a fresh dimension to the iconic character and giving audiences a new emotional lens on the transformation from cold to compassionate.Whether you’re a theater fan, a Christmas Carol purist, a lover of live performance, or simply someone who enjoys a community-driven holiday outing — this show is one to see. Coffee Time: Local early childhood educator aims to bring Wyoming Classical Academy to Fremont County
(Lander, WY) – The KOVE 1330 AM / 107.7 FM Today in the 10 interview series Coffee Time continued today with host Vince Tropea, who recently spoke with Donna Harrison. Harrison is leading the initiative to bring a Wyoming Classical Academy charter school to Riverton, which will be open to students in all of Fremont County. The Academy is a proposed tuition-free public charter school based on the Hillsdale curriculum, and focuses on “classic books, logic, rhetoric, mathematics, science, and the fine arts, while fostering critical thinking, communication, and character development.” There is currently a Wyoming Classical Academy campus operating in Mills, and one that is set to open in Alpine in the fall of 2026. Harrison, who runs Smart-Start Quality Child Care in Riverton and operates it under the Montessori model, explained that the goal is to open the Riverton Campus to grades K-6 to start off, then add grades each year after that. The Academy would be tuition-free, with no entrance exams or religious affiliation. Harrison says the goal is to have a 2027/28 school year opening date, after the program application is submitted to the Wyoming Charter School Board in March of 2026. Before that application can be submitted, Harrison said they need to have between 150-200 letters of interest. They currently already have over 80 letters. Folks can fill out the letter of interest here. (Note: the letter of interest is not a commitment.) A parent information night will take place tomorrow night, November 18, in the Riverton Library at 6 PM.
